Clofi Vega is 75 years old. Her story is very impressive because of her dedication and how quickly she grasps the concepts. She works at the market and comes very tired to class. She usually will take a short 5-minute nap and then wakes up, alert and ready to learn. She inspires the other students because, despite her age, she is the first one to turn in her homework. She started the class not knowing much math, but now she can multiply, divide, add, and subtract. She is a great motivator to both the class and the facilitator.

“My experience has been really lovely because, despite the fact that I am teaching them, I learn too. I feel that I’m still learning and I even learn from them. We ask them to work in groups and make sure that they participate and share their ideas, and so because of this I learn as well, right?” —Ana Meoria
